ARTWORK INFORMATION
TITLE: A Practice of Return
SERIES: Hope Landscape
YEAR: 2025
An evolving series of site-responsive stone installations developed across shoreline, gallery, and public contexts between 2023 and 2025. Using stones as a recurring material language, the works explore passage, reflection, and cyclical transformation. Each iteration shifts through place, light, and encounter, forming a continuous spatial practice rather than a fixed object.
A circular floor installation composed of stones arranged as a continuous spatial loop, referencing cycles of erosion, movement, and return. Each stone carries subtle traces of natural transformation, forming a collective structure that resists linear interpretation of time.
The circular configuration frames return not as repetition, but as an ongoing process of reformation, where beginnings and endings are folded into one another. The work proposes a space in which material change and temporal continuity coexist, shaped by both environmental force and human arrangement.
This work continues a broader body of site-responsive installations exploring cyclical movement, transformation, and spatial repetition as a form of becoming.
