ARTWORK INFORMATION
TITLE: Blindness
SERIES: Hands, Hearts, Skins, Eyes
YEAR: 2020 - 2021
"Between feeling and language, something always remains."
Hands, Hearts, Skins, Eyes explores the space between what is felt and what can be expressed. Through drawings, sculptures, wall reliefs, and installations, the series reflects on the limitations of language and the ways meaning moves through the body before it becomes words.
The works draw upon familiar human forms—hands, hearts, skin, and eyes—not as representations of the body, but as vessels for perception, memory, touch, and communication. Across the series, words appear as objects, textures, fragments, and traces, suggesting that meaning is often experienced rather than fully articulated.
Moving between presence and absence, seeing and missing, hearing and misunderstanding, the works consider communication as an ongoing act of translation. They invite reflection on the distance between what we wish to say, what we are able to express, and what is ultimately received by others.
